To install Kali Linux on VirtualBox, download VMWare first. Intel Mac users can use VMWare Fusion. M1 crews are sorry. You just have to eat. I don't want to use it for Linux. If you want to use Windows & Linux, you can use VMWare Workstation.
I'll talk about it first for Intel Mac users. I will only use VMWare Fusion, which is officially free as a personal license from VMWare. Although I know that you can use the Pro version with a cracked key, every time a new version is released, it is convenient and good to use, so just download and use VMWare fusion for Mac and VMWare workstation for Windows.

If Intel Virtualization Technology is disabled in your PC's BIOS settings, enable it. After save & exit, you will be able to use VMWare.
If you can't get into the BIOS, turn off the computer. Then turn it back on. After turning on the power, once the screen lights up, press the BIOS key four or five times continuously. Even though 1 is enough, I don't know that the key is missing, etc.
The BIOS key varies depending on the device. Most are F2. If it doesn't work with F2, you can try F12, Del, Esc, etc. Some laptops can't type function keys like F2 or F12 directly. You can press together with the Fn function key on the keyboard.

Click + and create new. VMWare fusion is used, so there may be a discrepancy with Workstation.
Here, you can select the stick or disc location by double-clicking, but for faster download, drag and drop the already downloaded Kali ISO.
I still use the DVWA iso so there are 2 on it. Select the Kali installer iso on the left and continue.

From Linux we will select Debian 64 bit. Because Kali is Debian Based.

You can give a name to save the VM file. I give you Kali Linux. I didn't delete the .vmwarevm extension.
If this appears, there are a few things to fix. I will fix the network adapter first. Click on it.
Select Autodetect under Bridged Networking as shown in this image. The connect network adapter header needs to be checked. If not, fill it. Then click show all above.
This time I will choose Processors & Memory. Click on it.
RAM should be at least 2048 MB. If it's a laptop with more than 8GB of RAM (e.g. 16GB RAM...), give about 4096 MB. (4GB)
Then exit with show all.
Click Hard Disk (SCSI) .
I put 100 GB. Then you don't need to exit with Show All. I can close the little darn box.
It will remain as it is. You can power on by pressing the Play icon.
Now you can see Kali's Main Installer Menu as below.
If this appears, press Enter. If it doesn't change by entering, click once and then enter.

In this new version, there is an arrowhead next to the Terminal icon on the top toolbar, and if you click it, you can see the root Terminal in red. If you don't do that and click on the Terminal icon, Terminal will appear for user acc. If you click on the red root terminal, you will see a box asking for a password. That is, after entering the login password, the root terminal will open. It takes root access, so I have to enter a password.
